Historically, De Bloemenbeek has been a familiar venue for world-class athletes and teams. We offer all they need to prepare themselves optimally for important competitions or for the professional sports season. Around Whitsunday in 2015, the Lotto Jumbo skating team with Sven Kramer and Kjeld Nuis, amongst others, commenced training for the new skating season at De Bloemenbeek in preparation for the 2016 Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro.
De Bloemenbeek has also hosted Ajax for 43 years, and clubs such as Feyenoord, FC Porto, FC Schalke 04, Bayern München and Southampton have stayed at Bloemenbeek in the past. In summer 2016, Southampton and Shaktar Donetsk set up their training camp in De Lutte.
Master Chef Michel van Riswijk has a great deal of specialist knowledge and experience of supporting top sporting achievements with healthy and tasty food. He regularly cooks for Dutch football teams that play overseas. For example, he accompanied Ajax to Turin in 2010 to prepare food for the players and staff members there. Thanks to their knowledge and experience, Michel van Riswijk and his team are able to respond flawlessly to the needs and wishes of professional sportspersons.
On 21 May, Lucky Ajax played a match against FC Twente All Stars in De Lutte at the SV De Lutte sports complex. This match was partly in aid of the´Kans voor een Kind´ and´Spieren voor Spieren´charitable causes.
