In 1906, the Morsink family established a farm with a public house and inn/bed and breakfast. Sixty years later, on 1 April 1966, the Strikker family acquired the former farm. That signified the beginning of a new and glorious era for this café with bed and breakfast. From the outset, the mission was to pamper guests with every courtesy, skill, service and facility and to show them what Twente hospitality really means. Meanwhile, the current Bloemenbeek has developed into an internationally renowned country estate hotel located on a 5-hectare estate with a distinguished Master Chef restaurant (1 Michelin star) and large spaces for hosting meetings and events of a diverse nature. The stylish, warm atmosphere, coupled with genuine guest-oriented service with a personal touch, is a common thread throughout the history of this family-run business. In 2016, De Bloemenbeek celebrated its 50th anniversary under the leadership of Raymond Strikker, a second- generation member of this family of hoteliers. Despite all the modernisations, De Bloemenbeek still exudes a distinct Twente authenticity and that will never change.
